The OnSide project works with vulnerable young people aged 10 - 16, who may be experiencing difficulties as they move towards adulthood, to match them with an adult mentor for a period of 12 months.

Have you got what it takes to be an OnSide mentor? The OnSide project is currently looking for passionate, inspiring and enthusiastic individuals to mentor and empower young people aged 10 - 16.

Volunteer mentors will operate at various locations across the borough of Haringey including schools and community hub clubs. The position will involve delivering one-to-one mentoring to young people aged 10 - 16 with the aim of reducing the risk of offending, exclusion from school or becoming not in education, employment or training.

As a mentor you will also assist Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coaches with their delivery of sports coaching. Sport sessions are delivered as part of the programme to encourage learning and personal development and to aid in confidence and aspiration building for the young people involved.

Alex White, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation's Community Development Manager, believes that mentoring projects such as OnSide provide participants with the stability to enable them to make positive choices: "As a mentor, our role is to motivate and inspire young people and to help put in place building blocks that will enable them to reach their full potential. It's an incredibly rewarding opportunity to be able to help to support our young people with their transition to independence and adulthood."
