We are pleased to offer an exciting and unique opportunity to study and work within a Premier League Football Club.

Alongside up to date and relevant theoretical knowledge we offer work and sport placements which will provide you with excellent experience and potential employment opportunities, with the option of applying for a top-up year upon completion of the FdA.

Both programmes are validated by Middlesex University but taught at White Hart Lane Stadium where we offer a very unique and prestigious learning environment including;
- The state of the art Spurs Learning Zone - equipped with 32 modern computers
- Lounges and corporate boxes to plan, develop and present individual and group work
- Academic study/quiet area in the Foundation office at White Hart Lane
- Library equipped with books, resources and internet enabled computers
- Access to the kitchens and high quality catering facilities (Hospitality students only)

FdSc Applied Sport Hospitality and Nutrition


Overview

The FdSc Applied Sport Hospitality and Nutrition is an exciting new programme that brings together hospitality and sports. It is delivered at White Hart Lane and is a 2 year full time programme (part time option available). The programme is ideal for those looking for a career change or those currently working in the hospitality industry who would like to specialise in sports hospitality and nutrition. The programme is 'applied' so is very practical based and there is a great emphasis on work based learning. Students complete a total of 180 hours placement throughout the course which provides essential work experience for employment upon completion.

Careers and Placements
A unique aspect of Foundation Degrees is the role they place on work based learning and its integral part within a programme of study. All the work experience conducted is through the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and its partners. The work experience modules are an essential part of the course as they integrate theory with practice. This will also give students the opportunity to work in a variety of different hospitality sectors during the course.

Students will be expected to complete 90 hours of experience through their Sport Placement module each academic year. The 90 hours will be scheduled by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and will range from working within the football club hospitality sector to experiencing placements within hotels. All of our placements facilitate a comprehensive work experience placement giving a well-rounded experience and valuable employability skills.


Post Studying Opportunities
Upon completion of the FdSc Applied Sport Hospitality and Nutrition programme, students have the opportunity to:
- Top up to a full degree with Middlesex University in:
1) BA (Hons) Hospitality Management
2) BA (Hons) Sport & Community Development
- Gain employment through Tottenham Hotspur Foundation
- Gain employment through one of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation's hospitality partners

Entry and Applying
The normal minimum age of 18 years old.

Tariff points: 120 - 160 plus GCSEs grades A to C in mathematics, English, Science and BTEC National Diploma, BTEC National certificate and Sport, Hospitality, Leisure or Catering related Access courses.

Mature students without traditional requirements may also be accepted following accreditation of prior experiential learning providing they can show appropriate levels of relevant ability and experience. They would need to make a claim for accreditation of prior learning (APL).

Claimants seeking accreditation of prior learning and experience must apply direct to Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and may be required to present a portfolio in support of their claims.

FdA Applied Sport and Community Development


Overview

This programme is now in its second year and is very popular due to its applied nature and the exceptional work placements embedded into the programme. The FdA Applied Sport and Community Development programme is validated by Middlesex University and taught at White Hart Lane. It is a 2 year programme (full time) and also has the option of part-time study over 3 years.The course will equip you with a range of skills highly relevant to the sports industry, from elite coaching methods to sports marketing and management.

Careers and Placements

A unique aspect of Foundation Degrees is the role they place on work based learning and its integral part within a programme of study. All the work experience conducted is through the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

The work placement modules are an essential part of the course as they integrate theory with practice. This will also give students the opportunity to across different Foundation programmes during the course.

Students will be expected to complete 90 hours of experience through their Sport Placement module each academic year. Projects to be involved in will be spread across the departments, including Community Development, Sports Development, Equalities and Inclusion and Education. Students could be working in the Spurs

Learning Zone for one session and coaching on a Premier League 4 Sport project the next. The variety will be invaluable.

FdSc Applied Football Coaching and Performance

Overview
This programme is brand new for 2013 and has been developed in response to a rapidly growing football industry within the UK. The programme combines practical coaching, underpinning theory and work based learning within football coaching and performance at a premier league football club. Students will study the science of human movement, physiology, psychology and fitness and will learn how to implement corrective exercise and enhance performance.
