Road To The Lane Paulinho

A detailed timeline on the route our current players have taken from day one on their way to Tottenham. This month we feature our new Brazil international PAULINHO.

1988 - Born on July 25 at Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil. It is situated in the south east of the country and will be one of the host cities for the 2014 World Cup. His full name is Jose Paulo Bezerra Maciel Junior.

2004 - Starts out in youth football with local side Pao de Acucar. The club played its first professional game in April, 2007, and changed their name to Audax Sao Paulo in 2011.

2006 - Moves across the city to link up with Campeonato Paulista Serie A2 side Juventus. His stay at the Rua Javari Stadium is a brief one.

2006 - Leaves his homeland in July to join Lithuanian side FC Vilnius. During his two seasons at the Vetra Stadium he plays regularly in the first team and scores five goals in 38 appearances.
