They’re the sort of games every aspiring footballer dreams of playing in – and the chance to represent Spurs against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League remains an achievement Stuart Nethercott is immensely proud of.
Our former centre-half, who went on to enjoy cult hero status at Millwall following his departure from White Hart Lane in the late 1990s, came up through the ranks here and went on to make 62 first team appearances in all competitions.
But it’s his Premier League debut – which came away to Chelsea in March, 1993, a day before his 20th birthday – that sticks in his memory as the now 40-year-old looks back with satisfaction on his career.
