Not surprisingly, there are many reminders of our great 1960-61 Double-winning season at White Hart Lane.
It was a special campaign in which Bill Nicholson’s wonderful side set new records and entertained every step of the way.
Our 11 successive victories from the start of the season was the best run in Football League history; we remained unbeaten in our first 16 games; and we enjoyed 31 victories in our 42 league games including 16 away wins.
And all this with just 17 players used. There were only two debutants – Frank Saul and Ken Barton. And we only had the advantage of one own goal in each competition and four successful Blanchflower penalties.
