Flashback - with Peter Taylor

Winger Peter Taylor was a typical Spurs player, touched as he was with bravado, skill and star quality.

He was so ahead of the game that he became an England international while playing in the old Third Division with Crystal Palace, having made his name with Southend United.  He scored on his international debut and arrived at Spurs just in time for our relegation in season 1976-77!  But Peter’s hard-working style, either defending or making and scoring goals, soon had us back at the top.  Left us for Orient in 1980.

What was your pre-match meal ?

Steak early on in my career, cereal later !
