This is George Hunt firing one in against Chesterfield at White Hart Lane in November, 1936. True, he is not in the picture but then Hunt’s goalscoring power meant that long-range efforts were very much part of his armoury!

In fact Hunt, who had joined us from Chesterfield in June, 1930, beat Spireites goalkeeper Jack Moody three times that day, two coming from the penalty spot.  Johnny Morrison and Les Miller were also on target in our 5-1 Division Two triumph.
