Versatile attacking midfielder Will Miller, who can also play at centre-forward, continued his development at senior level during the 2016-17 season.
Playing for our first team on our pre- and post-season tours, he spent the bulk of the season on loan at Championship side Burton Albion, scoring on only his second appearance to secure his side a point from a 1-1 draw away at Wolves in September, 2016.
He made 16 appearances for Burton in all while occasionally coming back to Spurs to play for our Under-23s in the Premier League 2. He made seven appearances at that level, scoring in away matches against Reading and Liverpool - the latter match held at Anfield.
Born in Hackney, Will dabbled in the world of acting as a youngster. He joined our Academy in July, 2012, and made 13 appearances for our Under-18s in 2012-13. He netted his one and only goal of the campaign in a 4-1 success over Newcastle United and had a run-out in the NextGen defeat to Anderlecht in December, 2012.
In 2013-14, he made 25 league appearances for our Under-18s, scoring an impressive seven goals, and also played in both FA Youth Cup ties we were involved in. He also stepped up to make a substitute appearance for the Under-21s.
He scored twice in 20 appearances for our Under-21s in 2014-15.
He missed the first few months of the following campaign with a knee injury sustained in pre-season, 2015, but ended that term in fine form and wearing the captain's armband for our Under-21s. Playing either in attacking midfield or as a false nine - a role he also occasionally fulfilled during his days as an Under-18s player - he scored four goals in 14 league appearances over the course of that season and also netted once in three Premier League Under-21 International Cup outings.
He has previously earned caps at Under-18 level for England.
