Keanan Bennetts is an agile yet powerful winger who can operate down either the right or left flank.
Part of the Under-18s squad that secured IMG Cup glory in Florida in December, 2016, he scored three times in 21 league games at that level in 2016-17, in addition to one goal in six games in the FA Youth Cup - a real belter against Newcastle at St James' Park in the sixth round. He made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League and featured four times for the Under-23s in the Premier League 2. He subsequently featured at left-back as our Development Squad won the European Under-21 Tournament in France during the pre-season period of 2017, being named Player of the Tournament.
Born in Edgware and raised in Borehamwood, Keanan was a pupil at St Michael’s Catholic High School.
He scored on his Under-18s debut in 2014-15 after coming on as a substitute away to Brighton in January, 2015. He went on to play twice more at that level, while also featuring regularly for our Under-16s.
He made 24 league appearances for our Under-18s in 2015-16, scoring away at Fulham in November, 2015, and also scored once in our two FA Youth Cup outings.
He stepped up to play three times in the league for our Under-21s, scoring on his debut in a 3-2 win at Norwich City's Carrow Road in October, 2015, and made one further substitute appearance in the Premier League Under-21 International Cup against FC Schalke 04.
He represented Germany at Under-15 level but played for England’s Under-16s, winning the Montaigu Tournament with them in April, 2015, and has since been capped by England at Under-17 level.
