Watford-born midfielder Joe Pritchard was a mainstay of our Under-23 side in 2016-17.
He appeared in 19 of our 22 games in the Premier League 2, 14 of those from the start.
Earlier in his career, Joe made three Under-18s appearances in 2012-13 before playing 16 times for the Under-18s in 2013-14, scoring twice. He also featured as a substitute in our FA Youth Cup defeat to Fulham and for the Under-21s against Newcastle United, his first appearance at that level, during that campaign.
The opening months of 2014-15 saw Joe start 11 times for the Under-18s, scoring twice, and captain us to Premier League Under-18 Champions Cup Final success against Benfica in September, 2014, in addition to making three substitute appearances for our Under-21s.
Sadly, he suffered a serious leg injury while on duty for the Under-18s away at Norwich in November, 2014, which kept him out of action for a year.
To his credit, he came back a few months into the 2015-16 campaign and finished that season in good form. He scored twice for our Under-21s during the latter months of the campaign - against Manchester United at home and away - and ended the season with 11 league appearances at that level to his name, plus one in the Premier League Under-21 International Cup.
