Connor Ogilvie is a consistent left-back who has picked up plenty of senior experience with League Two Stevenage in recent years, before stepping up to join League One side Gillingham on loan in July, 2017.
He spent the first half of the 2016-17 season playing for our Under-23s in the Premier League 2. He made 10 appearances at that level and scored once, in a 2-2 home draw with Chelsea.
He returned to Stevenage on loan - where he had spent the majority of the previous campaign - in January, 2017, and was virtually ever-present for them in the second half of the season, starting 18 games in League Two.
Born in Harlow, Connor, who can also play at centre-half, joined our Academy in July, 2012, and made 18 appearances for our Under-18s in 2012-13. He also started all three of our FA Youth Cup ties during that season and was a used substitute in three NextGen Series matches.
In 2013-14 he played 20 times and scored once for our Under-18s in the league, scored twice in two FA Youth Cup ties and made a further seven appearances for the Under-21s, scoring once.
His displays in 2013-14 earned a call into the first team squad for Europa League trips to Tromso and Benfica. Indeed, he was on the bench for our huge last 16 second leg clash at Benfica in March, 2014.
Connor was hit by a knee injury in pre-season 2014 before making his return in September, 2014. He went on to make 16 appearances for our Under-21s in 2014-15, scoring once in a 4-0 home win over Everton on March 2, 2015.
He played in our Under-21s' first league game of the 2015-16 campaign before heading to the Lamex Stadium for his first loan spell with Stevenage. Despite a couple of stints on the sidelines through injury, he played 24 times that year for the Hertfordshire club, then managed by Spurs legend Teddy Sheringham, and scored once against Plymouth Argyle.
Connor has been capped by England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels and was a team-mate of Dele Alli for a spell with the Under-17s.
